About Dawn

Dawn lives in Decatur with her husband Robin and her dog Sunny.  She has two adult sons who she continues to co-parent with her ex-spouse. (Yes, adults need parenting sometimes.) Dawn loves to travel to NYC to visit her youngest son who works in theater and to listen to her oldest play saxophone around Atlanta. Dawn loves to garden and sing in her church choir and with Atlanta Singing Resistance.

“A good family lawyer understands the nuances of a wide variety of issues – child & adult psychology, the bests interests of children in conflict, business valuation, a variety of asset classes, complicated personal finance and employment issues all the while being familiar with the Judges and the Court in which they practice. My decades of experience and relationship with the bench help me navigate this quagmire with clients to get the best, most advantageous and carefully crafted resolution possible.”

- Dawn

“I was very grateful for the attention to detail and compassionate listening afforded my experience with Dawn Smith. She is very professional and yet made me feel as though she also understood the sensitivity of my case and my concerns.”
